How to distinguish if the inductor is qualified ?

First , check from the plug-in inductor appearance.

Because the plug-in inductor components are produced in the dust-free workshop , we need check whether there is dirt on them. Then check whether the heat shrinkable tubes are damaged, whether the pins are blackened, whether the plug-in inductor is oxidized, and whether the heat shrinkable tubes are loose. Whether the insulating layer of enameled wire peels off and whether the colors are the same. Check whether the inductor body and framework are loose and fall off.

Secondly , pay attention to the plug-in inductor specifications and characteristic requirements. Electrical performance requirements like inductance, impedance, Q-value elements, DC resistance, rated current and other parameters , check wheather all there parameters are consistent with the product specifications with testing instruments.

Thirdly,  Pin bending inspection: the plug-in inductance should be checked for 90 degree bending. Generally, it is better to fold it back and forth three times. It is assumed that the inductor is still as good as before. If there are no pin cracks, damages and other phenomena, it means that the inductor has no quality problems.

Fourthly, Solder inspection: tin the lead with a soldering iron for 3 seconds. It is qualified only when the solder area covers 90% of the lead. If it is difficult or impossible to tin, it is unqualified.

Fifthly, check requirements of packaging ,whether the pins are too hard or too soft, and whether the packaging specifications meet the production requirements.    The label of the outer package shall be consistent with the goods. The box of the package shall be of good hardness, and the built-in bubble bag shall be anti-collision.
